Caramilk Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 150g of Caramilk Chocolate broken into small pieces
  • 200g pouring cream
  • 400g Full Cream Milk
  • 120g of caster sugar
  • 4 egg yolks

Method:

  1. Place Caramilk Chocolate into the mixing bowl and grate 5 sec/speed 8.
  2. Scrape down sides of the mixing bowl with your spatula.
  3. To the Thermomix Bowl, add in milk, cream, sugar, and egg yolks.
  4. Cook for 8 min/90°C/speed 2.
  5. Then blend 5 sec/speed 4-7, increasing speed gradually from speed 4 to speed 7.
  6. Pour mixture, into 2 shallow containers.
  7. Allow mixture to cool completely before placing into freezer for a minimum time of 10 hours.
  8. When ready to serve, complete the following steps:
  9. Remove from freezer and cut into pieces.
  10. Place half the pieces into the Thermomix bowl and blend for 20 sec/speed
  11. Quickly mix for 10 seconds on speed 4 with the aid of spatula.
  12. Transfer ice cream into a bowl.
  13. Repeat the above step for the second container.
  14. Serve immediately!
  15. We topped ours with Nestle Dulce de Leche!!!

 

PLEASE NOTE: We placed ours once blended back into an ice cream storer and back into the freezer. It was fine 🙂

      Hi Sharon. You could use an ice cream base recipe such as this one from Taste. I would fold through grated Caramilk chocolate at the end before cooling. Hope this helps. https://www.taste.com.au/recipes/basic-vanilla-ice-cream/c7b750db-5b88-40a8-94b3-30394dc9ce43
