Mum gave me this doughnut maker yesterday while we were in Brisbane. Today is quite gloomy here in town so a perfect day to make doughnuts for the kids. They were simple and turned out amazing
2 cups of plain flour 1/2 cup caster sugar
250 ml of milk
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
50 ml vegetable oil
2 teaspoons of baking powder
Chai Sugar or Sangria Sugar for dusting
1. Place the flour, baking powder, sugar and vanilla sugar into a mixing bowl.
2. Make a well in the middle of these ingredients and add the milk, eggs and oil.
3. Using a mixer or handbeaters, mix all the ingredients thoroughly to produce a smooth batter.
4. Place spoonfuls of mixture into the doughnut machine
5. Cook for 5 mins
6.Cool on a wire rack then dust with flavoured sugar or spread with chocolate
