Mulberry & Apple Crumble

My wonderful in laws gave us a massive amount of mulberries from their tree! What else to make on a cold, rainy night but a yummy crumble.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup self raising flour
  • 40g unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons oats
  • 3 tablespoons shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon chai sugar
  • 2-3 cups mulberries
  • 2-3 apples peeled and diced
  • Optional: add in diced nuts of your choice.

Method:

To make your crumble.

In a bowl Rub butter into flour and mix remaining ingredients apart from mulberries and apples.

Place mulberries and apples into a baking dish. Top with the crumble. Bake until crumble is golden brown and apples are soft. Serve with custard or ice cream.

  1. Mmmmm. Mulberry crumble is such a brilliant idea.. I also love the idea of adding the chai flavour in too.
