Chloe’s Special Apple Crumble

Ingredients:

  • 6 Granny Smith Apples (use whatever apples really) – peeled, cored and diced into small pieces
  • 1 small lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup of shaved Coconut
  • 1 cup of flaked Almonds
  • 1/2 cup brown Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Gluten Free Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon
  • 100g of Butter

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Prepare the apples: Core and peel apples. Cut them into small pieces.
  3. Place into a bowl and squeeze lemon juice over the top to prevent browning.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, shaved coconut, flaked almonds, and brown sugar.
  5. Mix thoroughly to blend.
  6. Add Cinnamon to the crumble mixture.
  7. Cut butter into small pieces, add to the crumble mixture, and rub together with your fingers until well mixed.
  8. Grease the baking dish with butter.
    Place the apples into the bottom of your baking dish.
  9. Spread crumble mixture over the apples.
  10. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until crumble topping is golden brown and bubbling.
  11. Serve with cream or ice cream!
