Salt Grill – Aria

Seared Sea Scallops with Blue Cheese Polenta and Truffle Oil

Where do I begin?

Our dining experience at  Luke Mangan’s Salt Grill was beyond our wildest expectations.

Lunch is $39 and dinner is $49, a small fraction of the price you would pay on land back in Australia.

Our waiter was amazing. He sincerely Welcomed us to Salt and poured us water. Took our drink orders and explained how we ordered off the menu as we were a little confused as to how it all worked.

We could pick 1 entree, 1 main and 1 dessert and up to 4/5 side dishes for our table group of 4 people.

Entrees:

  1. Arancini of Wild Mushroom and Leek
  2. Dukkah Crusted Lamb Fillet
  3. Kingfish Sashimi
  4. Scallops with blue cheese polenta and truffle oil

For our mains we all chose steak. Boy was this so amazing and delicious. I chose the Red Wine Jus and others chose from horseradish and bernaise sauce.

Our side dishes were absolutely amazing!

  1. Truffled Mashed Potatoes
  2. Steamed Vegetables
  3. Curry Roasted Pumpkin
  4. Mixed Salad
  5. Minted Smashed Peas

Dessert time was a tough choice. I couldn’t go past Luke’s signature dish – Luke’s Licorace Parfait.

Gooey Chocolate Tart
Strawberry Cheesecake
Calvados Custard
Luke’s Liquorice Parfait with Lime Syrup and Tuile
Overall this is a MUST DO dining experience for anyone who loves amazing high end food at a bargain price. You can order drinks using your cruise card and if you have the top drinks package most will be included. We even took in our drinks we purchased from the bar beforehand.

The service is amazing, you will feel very special.

Please ensure you tell the crew member taking your booking if you are celebrating a special occasion. They will provide you with a small cake and sing Happy Birthday if it is your birthday. We joined in the singing to help celebrate the 70th birthday of a lovely lady.
