Kids were wanting some breakfast and we had picked up a fresh cob yesterday. We have made a few of these before but each time is slightly different.
Today’s choice was Country Onion and Chives Dip Mix with spring onion, mushrooms and spinach.
Cut the top of the bread into about 3 cm chunks. Do not cut all the way through to the bottom.
Next take butter and some of the dip mix and melt.
Brush the butter mix on to the bread. Ensure you brush into the cuts as well.
Next place your fillings in between the cuts. We started with mushrooms, then added spring onions and spinach.
Top with grated cheese and push into the cracks as well. I also sprinkled porcini salt for added flavour.
Bake in a 160 degree oven until cheese has melted.
