Satay Chicken Burgers
Ingredients:
To make the patties:
- 500g Chicken mince
- 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onion
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon Field Mushroom Salt
To make the satay sauce:
- 1/2 cup of crunchy peanut butter
- 1 tin of coconut milk. ( I make mine up from a packet of coconut milk powder)
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of satay spice ( STAY TUNED STILL IN THE TESTING PHASE….)
Method:
To make patties:
Mix all ingredients well and form into patties.
Fry in a pan until cooked through
To make satay sauce:
Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and stir until sauce thickens and colour changes to a light brown colour.
This sauce is absolutely delicious and can be used in many ways
- Pizza
- Pies
- Satay skewers
- Meatball dipping sauce
