Ingredients:
- • 200g Plain flour
- • 250g water
- • 70g Butter, chopped
- • 3 Eggs
- • 1 tablespoon of Vanilla essence or syrup
- • Cinnamon sugar to coat
- • Sauces and fruit to serve
Thermomix Method:
- Place boiling water and chopped butter to the bowl. Mix for 1 minute & 20 seconds/Steaming temp/Speed 2. Ensure butter has melted completely.
- Add in plain flour and mix for 1 minute & 30 seconds/ Steaming temp/Speed 5. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. You can mix a little longer if needed.
- Add eggs in one at a time and allow to beat for 1 minute/Speed 5. Add in Vanilla syrup during this process.
- Spoon into a piping bag. I use a Tupperware piping bag.
- You can deep fry or cook in a Churros maker. Follow the recommended instructions.
- Dust with Cinnamon sugar.
- Serve with your choice of sauces etc.
Stove top Method:
- Place boiling water and chopped butter to the saucepan. Mix until butter has melted. Add in vanilla.
- Slowly add flour ensuring there are no lumps.
- Slowly add in one egg at a time and mix well. Mixture should be very glossy.
- Spoon into a piping bag with a star nozzle.
- Cook as required.
