Pasta Sauce 

I bought one of our favourite ‘fresh’ pasta sauces but stupidly left it out of the fridge overnight. What a waste!

I decided to create my own recipe. This has turned out absolutely amazing! 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup herbs eg Parsley and Basil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 large Onion, quartered
  • 1 large Carrot, chopped 
  • 2 large Mushrooms
  • 400g tinned or fresh Tomatoes
  • 200g water
  • 75g Olive oil
  • 50g Tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons of Sugar (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons Field Mushroom Salt
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of Italiano Spice
  • 1 teaspoon of Pepper

Method:

  1. Place garlic, mushrooms onions ,carrots and herbs into TM bowl and chop for 1 minute/Speed 8. You will need to use the spatula to help the items mix. 
  2. Scrape down sides of bowl and add oil. Sauté for 5 mins 100 degrees/Speed 2
  3. Add all other ingredients and cook 30 minutes/Varoma/Speed 1 
  4. Serve with warm pasta or Ravioli .
  5. This sauce is perfect for freezing too.
