Our old faithful Sunbeam slow cooker has a crack through the bowl 😭😭😭 so it was time for a new one.
Bring on the Breville sear and slow cook amazing machine. A friend from work recommended this slow cooker due to its 7 Litre size. I purchased it from Harvey Norman for $139.
First dish to make was spag Bol.
Ingredients:
1kg lean mince
1 tin of tomatoes
1 zucchini grated
2 carrots grated
1 tin of 5 bean mix
2 eggplants diced
250 grams of mushrooms
mixed herbs of your choice (I used Yiah tomato and herb dip mix)
2 tablespoons Caramalised balsamic
Method
Brown mince and diced eggplant using the slow cooker insert on your stove top.
Add mushrooms and remaining Veges and stir until combined.
Carefully move slow cooker insert to the base and pour in tomatoes and beans.
Mix well and set on low for 6 hours

Perfect way to use up this leftover mince.
1 bag of plain corn chips
Mince mixture
1/2 red onion diced
1 avocado diced
1/4 cup of sour cream
1/2 cup mild Salsa
1 cup grated cheese
Method:
Layer ingredients in a baking dish (do not add avocado and sour cream)
Bake in a moderate oven (160 degrees) until mince is heated through and cheese has melted. Remove from oven and top with avocado and sour cream.
