I have wanted to attempt to make macarons for years but never had the confidence until tonight!

I thought why not just get in and give it a go! All seemed to go to plan until we got to the dreaded piping stage! Anyone who knows me, knows I can not pipe to save myself! Today the end of the piping bag busted and mixture went everywhere. If anyone can recommend a decent piping bag, please let me know. 


1 cup of pure icing sugar

2 room temperature egg whites

1/4 cup caster sugar

1 tablespoon white red velvet powder 

3/4 cup almond meal sifted
